As you may be aware of, recording and promoting live original music is extremely expensive. I have been blessed to be able to play music for a living. Part of my living is made by traveling the country and playing clubs, casinos, and festivals. Another part of my living is made in a Tip Jar downtown Nashville. Many patrons at live shows have showed their appreciation by tipping the band in the form of cash in our jug. Many others have stopped walking around with cash in thier pockets. With that fact, plus the recent success of Kick start donations, the band and I have decided to offer an online option. Any funds donated to this website will be used to defer recording cost, video recording, video editing, or promotion of the band. The music industry is dominated by the largest purse and even after commercial success is achieved there are so many agents, managers, leeches and thieves. They all want a slice of the pie! We are doing this completely independent of a label or management. And our goal is simply to continue creating, recording and preforming our music. Anything more becomes of this band will be considered icing on the cake. Thanks to everyone for stopping by the website, and a very big thank you to any one that decides to donate. Hillbilly Hammer is the coolest, most fun I have had so far in this mess we call Music. I am blessed to be surrounded by fantastic musicians and I am extremely grateful to those who help us continue making music.
